We want to hear from you - please take the survey

Gifted and talented issues in YOUR area

The approach to Gifted and Talented issues has been changing across the world.  In the UK, different countries have developed their own definitions and approaches in schools from a statutory definition as part of ‘additional needs’ in Scotland to a non-existent strategy or definition in England (except for an approach which just benefits ‘more able’ pupils).

AT GT Voice, we want to identify and monitor what is happening now and how it compares to last year; is it better, worse or just the same?  Our aim is to monitor trends and to keep a record of just what is happening out there.  Whoever you are – parent. professional, or academic – we would therefore urge you to complete the first survey (link below) so that we can establish a baseline for future work. Individual results will be entirely confidential and we will be producing a report summarising our findings.  This report will be available on the members’ area of the website and we will submit it to Government for their consideration.  It takes about 10 minutes to complete.  If you are based overseas, please also complete the survey so that we can begin to develop our very own league table of G&T.
